What To Expect From Ultra Music Festival Moving To Virginia Key
After residents of the City Of Miami and more particularly Key Biscayne have decided the noise from Ultra Music Festival is too much for the benefits that ensue, the festival has completed a 2 million dollar deal to migrate to Virginia Key, an island right off of the coast of the South Florida city. The festival believes this is the best decision to keep the 21-year-old event in the city of its origin, but also out of the ear-reach of the locals and the ‘Downtown Neighbors Alliance’ that found the issue to be enough to continuously pursue.
So what can we expect from this new Ultra destination?
Virginia Key has a multitude of wildlife, and environmental protection groups are worried about the outcome of the festival in these parts. However, it is sure that Ultra will be doing everything in their power to protect the environment while still maintaining the festival’s iconic production, design and experience.
Ultra has reported that the sound from the stages will not travel far enough to damage any wildlife and representatives have ensured that barricades will be installed to prevent any wandering music-goers from entering the protected environments.
There is also concern of the singular road from the mainland connecting to the island, and that traffic might be even more of concern than the festival has already experienced in the past. But Ultra has not been hosting music for two decades for no reason, and there is speculation that the festival already has plans in the works to mend this issue; by employing the use of ferries from surrounding areas to bring attendees to the island.
There are a plethora of questions surrounding the future of Ultra Music Festival, and what the company has planned for their move to Virginia Key, but one thing is certain, Ultra will not disappoint the fans that are the life and blood of the King of electronic music events, and the show will go on.
