Porter Robinson sells out Halloween show in Brooklyn

After spending most of 2018 playing as Virtual Self alias, Porter Robinson returned to New York to play a special Halloween DJ Set at Avant Gardener. Made Event hosted the Freaky Deaky Brooklyn event and joining Porter for the night was DEVAULT.  It was a special evening for everyone in attendance, the energy was already so high from Halloween.  DEVAULT’s style complemented the vibe Porter set for his DJ set that followed.  He played a lot of tracks of his new “Stay” EP as well as one of his most popular remixes of DJ Snake’s song “A Different Way”. The sold out show made the venue feel packed wall to wall.

A ten minute period of just lights and no music created a ton of anticipation for Porter to start playing.  A powerful opening was expected from all of the Porter fans in attendance that night, but everyone was blown away when he dropped his compelling remix of “The Thrill” by Nero. The whole set was a mix of his beloved “Worlds” tracks as well as some heavier bass tracks all accompanied with ethereal visuals. To everyones satisfaction he played a lot of the “Worlds” favorites like “Divinity” and “Flicker”. He captivated the audience and had most everybody singing along to his tracks.  We are so excited to see what 2019 promises for the future of Porter Robinson and hope for more amazing DJ sets.
