KAYZO’s Newest Collab With XO SAD Synthesizes Electronic And Punk Rock
Los Angeles based DJ/Producer Kayzo, is one of the most talented and fastest rising names in the electronic music industry. Released September 28th on Ultra Music, Kayzo’s new single, “FAKE FAKE FAKE” is a thoughtful collaboration with emerging Italian emo punk band, xo sad. Kayzo admits to discovering the band on SoundCloud, and immediately feeling inspiring to combine talents in order to bridge the gap between the electronic and punk rock genres. This is not an isolated effort, Kayzo’s musical platform is heavily based on versatility and a passion for fusing these two styles of music.
“FAKE FAKE FAKE” will take you on an excursion through emotions as seismic vocals build steadily into a bouncy drop. Kayzo deviates from his more typical electronic sound by adding a punk twist to the track, bringing listeners back to an era of music where lyrics were intensified through angsty rock vocals.
The message behind the lyrics is clear and relevant, especially when directed toward the position of our youth. Kayzo speaks on the topic himself, “We are persuaded in so many ways by social media and celebrities on what is socially acceptable to wear, say, like etc. It’s about the ego or voice in your head that can steer you adrift and end up making you someone you aren’t.”
The release of “FAKE FAKE FAKE” is the pioneer track of many rock collaborations being pursued by Kayzo in the coming year.
