Exron Exclusive: TWO LANES

Exron Music recently caught up with TWO LANES to hear about their new remix of Odesza’s “Line of Sight”.  The remix was originally debuted in the first installment of the original mix series “Escape”.  After receiving amazing feedback–the duo released the track for their fans shortly after. In the past six months the duo has put out other remixes of Zhu x Skrillex’s “Working For It” and Rufus Du Sol’s “Innerbloom” as well as their own EP “Drive”.

Exron: Why did you both decide to start TWO LANES?

TWO LANES: We grew up in a very musical family. Our father is a Jazz musician and our mum is really into music, so we have always been exposed to many different musical genres. We had been making electronic music together for a long time already before we decided to start TWO LANES a couple of months ago. Right now are working on a live set that will contain mainly our own music.

Exron: What do you like about Odesza’s sound that inspired you to create your own version of “Line of Sight”?

TWO LANES: Since we discovered Odesza they’ve always been a huge source of inspiration to us. We love how unique each track sounds but you can always tell that it’s Odesza. Line Of Sight is one of our favorite songs from their album A Moment Apart. It’s one of these tracks that really stick with you for a while. This is why we have been thinking about making our own version since it came out.

Exron: Which song from your recent EP “Drive” do you feel like is your favorite?

TWO LANES: We like how the track ‘Drive’ turned out. We produced it in only one night and everything came together very naturally. It just felt right making it. Now when we listen back we still feel that good energy from that session.

After only a short period of time TWO LANES has gained recognition for their killer remixes and first EP release. With a catchy and unique electronic sound, this duo will only continue to conquer the electronic music community. Check out their teaser video for their remix of “Line of Sight”!
