Swedish House Mafia Makes Huge Comeback at Ultra 20

All week rumors had been buzzing about if the legendary trio of Swedish House Mafia were Ultra’s mysterious Sunday night closers. Ultra’s attendees, electronic music fans and producers all over the world were beyond thrilled to see Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso take the main stage at Ultra Music Festival tonight, as one. It has been exactly five years since the group performed their final performances at Ultra’s double weekend festival in 2o13. Their highly anticipated set had all of the classics coupled with some new and improved sounds from the trio. Swedish House Mafia opened with a twist of the classic “Miami to Ibiza” and closed with the all time favorite of “Don’t You Worry Child”. Our favorite part of the set was when the group did an encore with “One” mixed with a huge track that we can only expect to be something new from SHM.

Although nobody knows for sure what comes next for the trio, one thing is for sure, people will not stop talking about this set or their performance for a long time. The production, the energy of the crowd, and of course the classic Swedish House Mafia songs made this the best set of Ultra this year. We can only hope that a worldwide tour and release of new music will follow this earth shattering performance. Until now, we will enjoy the amazing set that Ultra 2018 blessed us with and pray for a major progressive house comeback in the industry.
