SAINTWKND and Jerry Folk had a “Foreign Affair” with North America
SAINTWKND and Jerry Folk just concluded their “Foreign Affair Tour” which traveled all over North America beginning in early February. We were able to catch the two playing one of their final shows this past Thursday, March 15th in Brooklyn, NY. The two musicians were excellently matched for this tour, with brilliantly independent personalities and styles that co-exist perfectly.
SAINTWKND played first, surprising the entire crowd with an energetic house set. The last time the artist played in New York he bumped future bass with light trap, so seeing another side of his musical interests showed talent and versatility. The entire room was on the same high, dancing and shuffling as SAINTWKND pumped out the perfect vibey ambiance.
Jerry Folk then switched up the mood slightly as he delved into his smooth and sexy bouncy style. Much to the delight of the crowd the producer played all of his best tracks, including our personal favorite, “What U Know About Yourself”. The Norwegian musician puts such a unique flavor into his music, making it nearly impossible to not become infatuated with his tracks.
SAINTWKND and Jerry Folk had a terrifically successful tour, drawing out ecstatic crowds for 22 shows over the period of a month, securing old and new fans alike who, if they’re anything like us, are enamored. Both artists are front-lining the up and coming in electronic music, so don’t sleep on these talented guys.
