SLANDER Hits The Feels With “Happy Now”
SLANDER has built a worldwide reputation of creating hard-hitting and rage-worthy bass and trap bangers. But this past Friday, March 2nd the duo released their newest single with Monstercat entitled “Happy Now” and it is a very real representation of a more sensitive side to the artists.
“Happy Now” is an ode to a broken relationship and the feelings that emerge from the ashes of the end of an eradicated love. Rather than catapulting into a face melting bass drop, the track embraces a more future bass stance, topped with heart-meltingly melodic lyrics building into a drop composed of uplifting Synths.
Although “Happy Now” is a deviation from SLANDER’s normal style, it is not the first time that the artists have tried something new. Their last release, “I Can’t Escape” also takes an unexpected turn with similarly emotional lyrics countered with an extremely exciting build into a smashing trap explosion. With these new tracks it’s clear that SLANDER is interested in trying some new sounds, which is guaranteed to widen their fan base well into 2018.
SLANDER will be playing a plethora of shows in the month of March, including Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas on the 9th, Gud Vibrations Boat Party during Miami Music Week on the 22nd, as well as Ultra Music Festival from the 23rd-25th.
Make sure to catch these talented artists and their new track “Happy Now” this March!
