Emancipator Brings Baralku to Brooklyn

This past November Emancipator released their newest album ‘Baralku’, which is a spiritual embodiment of the afterlife. In some aboriginal communities long ago ‘Baralku’ was believed to be an island where your spirit found rest after death. Emancipator has taken this theme and have created a fantastic metaphysical tribute through music.

The Baralku North American Tour has plans to hit some of the best venues in the country, and we were lucky enough to catch the group perform on their third night on tour in Brooklyn. Emancipator worries not about the glamour of performance, rather keeping the music close to their heart, which ultimately constitutes a tremendous show. This is magnified even further with the addition of the ‘Baralku’ album, that ensues music from around the world with elements reminiscent of jazz, classical and a great deal of folk influences.

The show took place at Brooklyn Steel, and was a phenomenal flow of unearthly beats, downtempo and spiritual in nature. The crowd was fully engaged and invested and there was an infectious energy carried throughout the venue.

Emancipator’s ‘Baralku’ Tour is currently sweeping North America and is well worth your visit. Go out and enjoy these sensational organic electronic band vibes this early spring!
