There’s S(no)wta place like Minneapolis on NYE
While there are so many options for what to do on New Year’s Eve, Snowta indoor music festival proves why Minneapolis is an impressive place to ring in the New Year. This year, Snowta set the bar high with headliners such as Post Malone, Gucci Mane, Pretty Lights, Excision, Ookay, Ganja White Night, Mija, and so many more, selling out all of the 14,000 2-day GA tickets.
Snowta Producer Zack Chazin has been overwhelmed with the growth of this fest because of the sub-zero temperatures, and as he mentions, -43 degree weather. Festivalgoers prepare and show up in anything from bulky winter coats to onesies because they know how extraordinary a night of live performances is.
The crowd loved the mix of hip-hop and electric genres. Both communities could appreciate the instrumentation and atmosphere of one another, proving how unique Snowta really is. On night 1, Pretty Lights created an enchanting lighting production and Gucci Mane brought out the hype side of the crowd. And on night 2, Post Malone warmed up the crowd early on and Excision ended the night with some heavy bass and a blinding light show. Snowta’s main stage included a 50ft LED wall that created wild visuals.
