Hotel Garuda Brought Brooklyn Back to Dance

Hotel Garuda brought dance music back to Brooklyn Thursday night when they posted up at Schimanski with Geotheory and Nick AM. The duo, consisting of Manila Killa and Candle Weather, combines that smooth future sound with chill house, creating the ultimate tranquil dance vibe. Hotel Garuda is a fun deviation from Manila Killa’s normal future bass style and Candle Weather’s downtempo trap beats.

The duo announced that they will not be playing in New York again for awhile, so they sought to make this last show special and that they did. Hotel Garuda presents a beautiful niche music that enraptures their fans and that was exactly the atmosphere of their show in Brooklyn last week.

They began with some classic house beats and over time transitioned into some of their best remixes and singles. Hotel Garuda’s remix of Kiiara’s “Feels”, their remix of Kaskade & Felix Cartel’s “Fakin it” and their effervescent single “Dancing On The Moon” feat. Lemaitre brought out those Brooklyn shufflers.

Although the duo says they will be pursuing other ventures for the time being, New York will be patiently awaiting their return.

In the meantime, check out their latest remix of Jai Wolf’s “Gravity” feat. JMR here:
