Whethan “Good Nights Tour”
Ethan Snoreck, otherwise and generally known as Whethan, has just finished his “Good Nights Tour” that hit all the best cities in the U.S. and Canada. The young DJ is making quite a name for himself in the electronic music industry, and this tour secured his spot on the up-and-coming list.
Exron Music had the pleasure of attending Whethan’s two shows and pop-up shop when he stopped by New York for a couple days last month. MADHAPPY hosted the pop-up where Ethan sold his newest merch and chatted with fans about the tour and new music. We got to talk to Wheaty a bit about his friendships with Louis The Child duo Robby and Freddy, and how surreal it felt to be selling out shows around the country. Whethan was down to earth and had a kind soul, which is definitely representative of his character as a musician.
SAINT WKND joined Ethan on tour and was also at the pop-up shop. The pairing of their styles could not be more perfect, and after chatting with Max (aka SAINT WKND) we could tell they were both extremely excited to be on the Good Nights Tour. Both nights he played an impressive lineup of future bass tracks to get the crowd pumped up for the main event.
We had the opportunity to see Whethan two nights in a row; first at Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan and then again in Brooklyn at Music Hall of Williamsburg. As followers of the artist for awhile we were thrilled to hear old tunes from the “Wheathin” days (before the artist streamlined his name) along with his newest and freshest tracks. The graphics were bright and colorful, and the overall vibe was young, energetic and fun. Ethan even played some unreleased music and without surprise the crowd went wild for his latest release with Elohim, “Sleepy Eyes”.
The beautiful vocalist Ashe, who was an absolute dream on stage, opened Whethan’s show alongside SAINT WKND. She looked like a ray of sunshine and had a perfectly angelic voice to match her bright persona. The duo made sure to play their track “Can’t Hide” before the end of the night and everyone was ecstatic.
Overall we were seriously impressed with the performances and the tour had an extremely successful run. Whethan is on our list of DJs to watch in 2018 and his potential for greatness is very apparent. Although the tour is over, Ethan is not slowing down. He just announced that he will be playing Hangout Music Fest in Alabama later this year, but we are sure that an abundance of new music is in his near future.
